Speech Trading Post and Giveaway

I'm so excited to be a part of the Speech Trading Post. Sounds Like Fun came up with the awesome idea to pair us bloggers up with other SLP bloggers, trade an activity from our TpT stores, use the activity in therapy with our students, and then share our thoughts on the activity. The best part? We can host a giveaway of the activity for one of you lucky followers to win!

I was paired up with Jackie from Speech Sanity. I chose to review Cool Minimal Pairs S-Blend activity seeing as I currently have a few students working on producing s-blends accurately at the word level.

One thing I really enjoyed about this activity is the fact that while it targets s-blends, it also targets sentence formulation and pronouns. Sentence building visual supports are provided at the end of the download for students targeting using appropriate syntax and pronouns, which is extremely helpful for my young learners who are just learning how to formulate appropriate sentences.

This product offers 48 different s-blend minimal pair cards printed on gorgeous sunglasses clip art. Four different children are included (both in color and black and white) in the packet as a way to target pronouns. The children are printed big enough so that they can "wear" the sunglasses. Cute!

Finally, an s-blend data sheet is included in the download for easy data collection.

This activity has it all! I would highly recommend this activity for students targeting s-blends, pronouns, or sentence formulation.
